Whistle adds parking enforcement alert service in Busan\'s Gangseo district
Mobility platform Whistle has added a parking and stopping enforcement alert service in Busan\'s Gangseo district, expanding its Busan-area coverage to 14 of the city’s 16 districts. The service sends drivers advance alerts before illegal parking enforcement to encourage moving vehicles and reduce the likelihood of fines. As of July, the service has 6.5 million cumulative users. Once registered, users can receive alerts in partnered areas nationwide, including Busan.

MSIT to launch pilots for 12 services combining AI and digital twins
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT will begin piloting 12 innovative services that combine artificial intelligence with digital twins, extended reality and other virtual convergence technologies, starting this month. The projects span safety, industry and everyday-life applications under two programmes focused on AI-based safety management and fostering virtual convergence industries. The ministry plans demonstrations ranging from disease prevention and gas-leak detection to port and shipyard control systems and tourism and hospital guidance services.

Syscon Robotics container unmanned transport technology designated as new logistics technology
Syscon Robotics said on Jan. 23 that a tram-based automatic transshipment cargo shuttle system it jointly developed with Busan Port Authority was designated as an outstanding new logistics technology by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries. The system uses two cooperative shuttles to move cargo containers of 20 feet or more without drivers. The company said the technology can raise terminal-to-terminal transport efficiency and be applied to wider port and inland logistics automation.
