Korea media communications commission to speed block illegal drug, gambling content through written review
South Korea\'s Broadcast Media Communications Commission said on Feb. 10 that a revised law allowing faster blocking of illegal online content through written reviews cleared a cabinet meeting. The change aims to replace procedures focused on in-person deliberations so content with major social harm can be handled immediately. Written reviews will cover seven areas including drugs, gambling, copyright infringement, telecommunications financial fraud, content inducing suicide, organ and personal data sales, and firearms or explosives manufacturing.
