KAIST launches integrated mental health support center for counseling, care and crisis help
KAIST has officially launched the Mind Care & Growth Center, integrating psychological counseling, mental health care and crisis support for university members. The institute said it will hold an international symposium on human behavior and mental health on June 10 at its Daejeon campus. KAIST aims to link services consistently and pursue digital mental health research involving AI, brain science, design and other fields.

Ybrain joins K-Moonshot project as sole BCI industry partner
Electronic medicine platform company Ybrain said on Monday it signed a business agreement to participate in the Ministry of Science and ICT-led K-Moonshot project as the sole industry partner in the brain-computer interface field. It said it will use non-invasive brain stimulation technology and clinical data to help set technical standards and build an ecosystem aimed at solving challenges in brain science. The company said its solutions are used at 767 clinics and hospitals.

China is accelerating the commercial rollout of brain-computer interfaces (BCI), moving beyond research as it builds out pricing and insurance coverage and sets industry targets through 2030. Growth is driven by policy support, clinical resources, manufacturing capability and strategic investment, including an 11.6 billion yuan brain science fund. Chinese firms are raising capital and developing both invasive and non-invasive technologies, while the market is forecast to expand sharply through 2040.
