Bitget registers as financial service provider to expand New Zealand business
Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget has registered as a financial service provider with New Zealand’s Financial Service Providers Register (FSPR). The registration allows Bitget to expand services in New Zealand, including foreign exchange conversion, domestic and international remittances, custody of client assets, and portfolio and fund management. Bitget has been widening licences and registrations in various countries. It has also announced plans for a European headquarters in Vienna and appointed Oliver Stauber as Bitget EU chief executive.

Optimism steps up Korea push, unveils ties with Dunamu, Toss and DB Financial Investment
Blockchain infrastructure company Optimism said it is stepping up its business in South Korea, disclosing partnerships with Dunamu’s GIWA blockchain, fintech firm Toss and DB Financial Investment. It plans to expand on-chain finance infrastructure for local financial institutions, fintech and digital asset companies through OP Enterprise. The firm said it has signed memorandums of understanding with Dunamu and Toss and will cooperate with DB Financial Investment on STO and RWA projects linked to Jeju.

Ink adopts OP Enterprise, outsources layer2 infrastructure operations
Kraken-led Ethereum layer2 Ink will adopt Optimism’s fully managed OP Enterprise service under a multi-year contract. Under the deal, Optimism will directly operate Ink’s production infrastructure, while the Ink Foundation focuses on ecosystem growth and developing new financial products. Optimism said the agreement is among the first cases of a major layer2 outsourcing infrastructure operations to a managed service provider.
