Storj Labs files for bankruptcy protection, seeks way for token holders to take equity

Storj Labs, a decentralised storage provider, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the United States. It said it will maintain network operations and customer service during restructuring and is considering a plan to allow STORJ token holders to participate in equity of the reorganised company. The firm said most of its debt predates its current strategy and is too large to resolve through growth alone.

Crypto exchange closures may signal market bottom, Tom Lee says

A series of cryptocurrency exchange shutdowns could be a sign the market is near a bottom, Fundstrat co-founder Tom Lee said. His comments followed BitMart’s decision to end its trading platform and BitMEX’s plan to halt operations this year. Lee maintained a long-term optimistic view on ethereum, comparing its evolution potential to growth inflection points seen at Amazon, Nvidia and JPMorgan, and reiterated a $250,000 long-term target.

BitMart to wind down crypto exchange after 9 years, to end operations in January 2027

BitMart will end operations of its global cryptocurrency exchange after 9 years, with full shutdown set for Jan. 31, 2027 at 1559 UTC. Trading is being restricted in phases, including halts to new account openings, deposits and new spot and futures orders. Automated services will also be wound down. Users will still be able to log in for a period after operations stop to review records and request withdrawals, but enhanced checks may apply.
