Climate crisis could make insurance unavailable, industry insiders warn

Growing risks from wildfires, floods and storms driven by climate change could leave more areas unable to secure insurance, according to a warning cited in a report by Inside Track, a group of senior UK and European insurance experts. The report says insurers are responding by sharply raising premiums, cutting coverage for high-risk perils and halting supply in certain regions or industries. It warns uninsured property could undermine real estate values and mortgage markets.

Over the past 30 days, tokenised asset value gained 2.18 percent and the number of holders rose 25.16 percent. XRPL hosts 373 tokenised RWAs, with distributed asset value at $368.82 million. Ripple recently announced investments in ZILO and Licuido to expand institutional capabilities. Stablecoin market value reached $901.4 million, though recent transfer volumes declined.

Ripple expands XRPL tokenisation push to strengthen asset issuance, distribution and collateral use

Ripple is expanding tokenisation infrastructure for institutions on the XRP Ledger, aiming to broaden capabilities from issuance and custody to transfers and collateral use. It said it invested in digital transfer-agent technology firm ZILO and tokenisation and digital asset trading platform Liquido. Ripple said it will add regulated transfer-agency, digital issuance and collateral mobility features to its institutional infrastructure. Executives said institutional capital markets are moving on-chain and that value comes from what tokenised assets can do.
