[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] Ripple is working with Aviva Investors, Aviva’s global asset management arm and one of Britain’s large insurers, to explore tokenising a traditional fund structure on the XRP Ledger (XRPL), The Block reported on Feb. 11 local time.

It is Ripple’s first partnership with a European investment manager. Aviva Investors plans to issue and manage a tokenised fund using XRPL.

Nigel Kaku (나이젤 카쿠), vice president of transactions and markets at Ripple, said, “Tokenisation is now moving beyond the experimental stage and entering large-scale production.” He said, “Tokenised fund structures will bring significant technical efficiency to the investment sector.”

Ripple recently added the decentralised exchange Hyperliquid to its prime brokerage platform, expanding DeFi integration.

Earlier, Ripple was valued at $40 billion in a $500 million investment round led by Fortress Investment Group and Citadel Securities.
