Electric vehicles, drones reshape future military mobility; Tesla China business sale rumours

Electrification and unmanned systems are gaining ground in military mobility as warfare changes, with Ukraine introducing an electric motorcycle that can charge drones and the U.S. Department of Defense moving to develop reusable bomber drones. Separately, speculation has grown over a possible separation of Tesla’s China business, though Elon Musk denied it was discussed. Autonomous A2Z exports autonomous vehicles to UAE

South Korean autonomous driving technology will be exported to the Middle East for the first time. Autonomous A2Z said on Monday it signed an 11 billion won supply contract with UAE AI company Space42. Under the deal, Space42 will replace all vehicles used for its TXAI autonomous service with Autonomous A2Z vehicles and expand services. The supply includes 19 vehicles, including eight driverless Level 4 ROii robo-shuttles, and integrated control infrastructure.

U.S. Senate panel moves to bar Chinese EV sales; Tesla shifts from EVs to robots

The U.S. Senate Commerce Committee plans a vote on a bipartisan bill that would effectively ban Chinese automakers from selling passenger EVs in the United States and further restrict entry into the small-car market. Tesla is removing the Model S and Model X assembly line at its Fremont plant and converting the space for humanoid robot Optimus production. Tesla will shift its supervised FSD option in South Korea from a lump-sum payment to a monthly subscription from Aug. 10.
