Tesla completes design of AI5 chip as U.S. presses automakers on war preparedness

Separately, Ford’s CEO warned about Chinese EVs and the company reshuffled its organisation. Volkswagen accelerated battery work, while Tesla completed its AI5 chip design and updated its FSD app amid complaints over HW3 limits.

A2Z, KGM and KGMC push joint development of Level 4 autonomous vehicles

Autonomous A2Z said it will cooperate with KG Mobility and KGM Commercial to develop Level 4 autonomous vehicles and key components. The partners aim to build a mass-production system based on electric buses and strengthen platform competitiveness. They plan to combine core technologies and set up a joint consultative body to detail development timelines, cooperation scope and commercialisation strategies, covering parts development, supply systems, technology upgrades and performance certification.

Nvidia builds up autonomous driving alliance

Nvidia, which dominates the AI chip market, is moving more aggressively into autonomous driving. A video of CEO Jensen Huang test-riding a self-driving vehicle has been released, stoking technical rivalry with Tesla. Nvidia has also teamed up with Bolt to target Europe’s robotaxi market. Global automakers including Hyundai Motor, Nissan, Isuzu, BYD and Geely Auto have joined an autonomous driving alliance, expanding an ecosystem centered on Nvidia.
