Meta acquires humanoid robot startup Assured Robot Intelligence
Meta has acquired humanoid robot startup Assured Robot Intelligence, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday. The deal terms were not disclosed. Assured Robot Intelligence leaders Lerrel Pinto and Xiaolong Wang will join Meta and focus on optimizing robotics application models. Meta is shifting its strategy from metaverse-focused augmented reality to AI. Mizuho analysts said Mark Zuckerberg’s vision still lacks specifics but an agent-centric consumer strategy is taking shape.
