KOSA completes Korean full-stack AI PoC with Aramco Digital, joined by 7 South Korean firms
Korea Artificial Intelligence & Software Industry Association (KOSA) said on Tuesday that the Korean Full-Stack AI Consortium completed a full-stack AI proof of concept for Aramco Digital’s industrial use cases. Seven South Korean companies took part, covering AI chips, industrial LLMs, 3D modelling, and AI and multicloud infrastructure. The PoC was conducted in two phases under an AI full-stack cooperation MOU signed in February.

MSIT says it has laid groundwork for South Korea to become a top 3 AI power
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said it has laid the groundwork for the country to become one of the world’s top three AI powers over the past year, alongside restoring the R&D ecosystem and guaranteeing basic communications rights. It said it is pushing plans to secure 260,000 advanced GPUs by 2030 and has introduced AI-related laws. The ministry also plans to roll out “AI for Everyone” starting as early as November, aiming to keep it free through 2028.

MegazoneCloud selected as lead operator for Korea\'s AI semiconductor overseas demonstration support project
MegazoneCloud said on Thursday it was selected as the lead operator for the 2026 AI semiconductor overseas demonstration support project for server-type systems run by South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency. It formed the KRFSAI consortium with FuriosaAI, NC AI, Upstage, Uracle and others to design, build and operate an overseas server demonstration environment based on Korean AI semiconductors at Aramco Digital in Saudi Arabia.
