Meta sets up Enterprise Solutions unit as FDE strategy gains traction
Meta has created a dedicated Enterprise Solutions organisation that dispatches engineers and product managers directly to corporate customers. Senior executive Naomi Gleit said in an internal memo the unit will include data engineers to prepare client data for Meta AI systems, software engineers to integrate Meta tools into customers\' operating systems, and product managers to lead client work. The Information said it mirrors the forward-deployed engineer model adopted by major AI companies.

Meta staff have pushed back, according to a New York Times report, while CTO Andrew Bosworth said there would be no exceptions. The move comes as Meta accelerates AI adoption across the company, links AI use to evaluations and plans a 10 percent workforce cut to offset costs.

Meta shares fall despite 33 percent revenue growth as it presses on with aggressive AI investment
Meta posted first-quarter revenue and net profit above market expectations, but its shares fell more than 5 percent in after-hours trading after it announced plans to expand investment in AI data centres, The Wall Street Journal reported. Revenue rose 33 percent from a year earlier to $56.3 billion and net profit was $26.8 billion. Meta forecast second-quarter revenue of $58.0 billion to $61.0 billion and plans capital spending of up to $145.0 billion this year.
