Amazon to start testing AI tools for film and TV production in March

Amazon MGM Studios is stepping up development of AI tools for film and TV production and plans to begin a closed beta programme with industry partners in March, TechCrunch reported on Feb. 4, citing Reuters. Albert Cheng said the goal is to support production teams rather than replace creators, while improving efficiency and reducing costs. Amazon is working with producers and animators and plans to apply large language models with AWS.

Naver Webtoon \'Lore Olympus\' to be made into animation series for Prime Video

Naver Webtoon said on Tuesday its English original webtoon \'Lore Olympus\' will be produced as an animated series for Prime Video and released exclusively in more than 240 regions worldwide. The title was discovered on Naver Webtoon\'s amateur platform Canvas and has logged more than 1.8 billion cumulative global views. It won both the Eisner Awards and the Harvey Awards in 2022 and won the Eisner Award for best webcomic for three consecutive years through 2024.
