USDC tops stablecoin trading volume in February, outpacing Tether

Stablecoin monthly trading volume reached a record $1.8 trillion in February, and Circle\'s USDC overtook Tether\'s USDT in trading volume, Cointelegraph reported on Friday. Data analytics firm Allium showed USDC recorded $1.26 trillion in volume, more than double Tether\'s $514 billion. Arkham said more than $3 billion worth of USDC was additionally issued in March, while Tether supply showed no major change. CryptoQuant linked a recent bitcoin rise above $74,000 to increased stablecoin holdings on exchanges.

Solana stablecoin trading volume surges past $650 billion in February

Stablecoin trading volume on the Solana blockchain hit $650 billion in February, The Block reported on March 4, calling it an all-time high. A Grayscale research note citing Allium data said the figure more than doubled from the prior record set in October last year and was the highest monthly stablecoin volume among all blockchains. Grayscale said Solana is positioned to gain share in retail stablecoin payments.
