UK bans Coinbase ad that ignored crypto risks
Coinbase faced action from British regulators after running an advertisement that mocked the UK\'s economic decline, Cointelegraph reported on Jan. 28. The Advertising Standards Authority banned the ad, saying it trivialised financial difficulties and treated cryptocurrency as an easy solution while downplaying investment risks. The campaign was banned from TV but continued to appear online and on posters in high-traffic areas including the London Underground and train stations.
