Schneider Electric says energy industry to expand investment in autonomy by 2030
Schneider Electric said research shows demand for autonomous operations in the energy and chemical industries will expand sharply by 2030. It released a Global Autonomous Maturity Report based on a survey of 400 senior executives across 12 countries and desk research and stakeholder interviews. The report said 31.5 percent prioritise advancing autonomy in the next five years, rising to 44 percent within 10 years, while concerns include upfront costs and legacy systems.
