Aave Labs proposes Aave Foundation in Cayman Islands, governance powers to remain with DAO
Aave Labs submitted an ARFC proposal to establish an ownerless Aave Foundation in the Cayman Islands. The foundation would hold, protect and license intellectual property including the Aave trademark, key domains and protocol code. The proposal covers a first phase focused on registration and appointments, with related registration, legal and establishment costs borne by the decentralised autonomous organisation (DAO). Governance powers would remain with the Aave DAO.

EtherFi proposes deploying dedicated Aave V4 instance on OP Mainnet
EtherFi has proposed deploying its own Aave V4 lending system on OP Mainnet. It applied through a temp check to launch a white-label Aave V4 instance that would serve as credit backend infrastructure for its Visa card product, EtherFi Cash. The new instance would share liquidity with Aave but remain separated from other markets. EtherFi would handle configuration, risk parameters, liquidity and operations, while Aave would provide deployment and operating licences and take a fee from revenue.

Aave DAO steps up talks on V4 deployment, aims for Ethereum mainnet launch this year
Aave DAO has passed a proposal vote for an ARFC tied to deploying V4, The Block reported on March 23. Aave is targeting a launch of the V4 upgrade on the Ethereum mainnet within this year. The report said V4 introduces a modular hub-and-spoke design as the first step in Aave’s decentralized governance process, aimed at maximizing liquidity and refining risk management. Aave Labs plans to publish an AIP after community feedback and snapshot voting.
