Lee Jeong-eun named October Korea Science and Technology Award winner
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Research Foundation of Korea selected Seoul National University physics and astronomy professor Lee Jeong-eun as the October winner of the Korea Science and Technology Award. The award honours one researcher each month for original achievements over the past three years and includes a deputy prime minister\'s prize and 10 million won. Lee was recognised for identifying how crystalline silicates form and move during protostar formation.

SKT CEO Jung Jae-heon says AI shift must overcome discomfort to reach \'J-curve\'
Jung Jae-heon (정재헌), CEO of SK Telecom, shared future strategy using AI and guidance for proper use in a lecture at Seoul National University. SKT said Jung delivered a special lecture on Sept. 1 titled \"Choices and Opportunities in the AI Era\" as the first class of an AI joint programme the company and the university have run for 10 years. Jung outlined a \"J-curve\" for AI transformation and three work methods, and highlighted capabilities needed for talent in the AI era.

Ripple signs five-year sponsorship with University of Kansas; XRP to appear on all team uniforms
Ripple has signed a five-year sponsorship deal with the University of Kansas athletics department and named XRP the official cryptocurrency of Kansas Athletics. The XRP logo will appear on uniforms across all university sports teams, including football and basketball, marking the first time a major NCAA Division I program has partnered with a cryptocurrency company. Ripple also plans education funding for student-athletes and the wider campus community.
