Aim Intelligence unveils application security assessment service linked to OpenAI Daybreak

AI security company Aim Intelligence unveiled an application security assessment service linking its AI red-team solution Stinger with OpenAI\'s cybersecurity programme Daybreak, it said on Thursday. The company aims to help South Korean firms use frontier AI in security work. The service combines code analysis with runtime environment verification for AI applications, web services and APIs, and provides risk prioritisation plus reproducible evidence and remediation guidance for validated vulnerabilities.

As debate grows over slowing AI development, speakers at a Seoul seminar said South Korea should raise the pace of responsibility through verification, control and recovery, rather than delay frontier AI. They called for Korea to design AI safety standards needed by both the United States and China, focusing on functional cooperation over value-based blocs. K-security SaaS platform gains momentum, targets global expansion

South Korean companies are accelerating moves into security-as-a-service (SECaaS), offering security solutions as SaaS platforms as cloud and AI adoption grows. AhnLab is stepping up domestic and overseas efforts, while MonitorLab has long focused on SECaaS and other firms are expected to follow.
