Tesla next-generation AI6 chip delayed again, robot and self-driving roadmap stumbles
Tesla\'s next-generation artificial intelligence chip, AI6, has been delayed by about six months due to delays in Samsung Foundry\'s 2-nanometre process, a report said. The delay is also affecting other customers on the same node, including South Korean AI chip startup DeepX. Tesla has a contract with Samsung Electronics worth about $16.5 billion to make AI6 chips in Texas through 2033, but the production timeline could slip further.
