TTA sets up dedicated project group for AI security standardisation
The Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) said on Monday it has set up a dedicated project group to standardise “AI security” aimed at ensuring trust in AI models and protecting data. The group will pursue domestic and international standards focused on information security for AI systems, privacy protection, security evaluation, and security for generative and agentic AI. TTA said it plans to develop standards reflecting new threats such as model theft and prompt injection, and AI-related laws and regulations.

MSIT to push AI-based research administration on IRIS, offer researcher recommendation service
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said on March 11 it has secured grounds to 추진 AI-based research administration support services through a help desk run by the Personal Information Protection Commission to review privacy issues in public-sector AI transformation projects. The commission approved a prior adequacy review for IRIS AI recommendation services for evaluators and collaborative researchers, and prepared safeguards with the ministry to reduce privacy risks.

PIPC launches AI privacy public-private consultative body
South Korea\'s Personal Information Protection Commission said on Monday it launched a public-private policy consultative body on AI privacy and held its first plenary meeting. The consultative body, with 37 experts from academia and industry, will advance the regulatory framework for new AI technologies. It will run three subcommittees and plans to set standards for agent AI personal data processing by June and revise a risk management model in December.
