Strategy buys 1,550 bitcoin for $100 million, resumes net buying after selling 32
Strategy bought an additional 1,550 bitcoin from June 1 to 7, spending about $100 million at an average price of $65,332 per coin, CoinPost reported. The purchase lifted its total bitcoin holdings to 845,256. The firm had sold 32 bitcoin in late May to raise about $2.5 million, its first bitcoin sale since December 2022, but it quickly returned to net buying. It funded the latest purchase with proceeds from selling Class A common stock.

Coinbase says institutions step up bitcoin buying around $65,000
Institutional investors are treating bitcoin’s recent decline as a buying opportunity, an assessment said. John D’Agostino, Coinbase’s head of institutional strategy, said institutional demand has not weakened and that family offices and sovereign wealth funds are more active around $65,000. Bitcoin briefly fell to $59,200 on Saturday. He cited spot ETF holdings of about $100 billion and said retail spot ETF balances fell about 15 percent despite a 50 percent price drop.
