SKT steps up industrial deployment of A.X K2, accelerating global AI race
SK Telecom is speeding up industrial deployment of its proprietary AI foundation model A.X K2 with 688 billion parameters. The company released the model on Hugging Face and said it improved reasoning, Korean knowledge and long-context performance versus its prior model. SKT plans to expand use cases in manufacturing, defence and bio, while applying lightweight versions to office and consumer services. It also aims to scale follow-up models to trillion-parameter levels.

SKC sets up CEO-led AX organization including units such as SK Nexilis
SKC is stepping up its push for artificial intelligence transformation. The company said it has launched a dedicated AX organization and will build a companywide system to use AI. SKC set up an AI Frontier task force under the CEO, with participation from SKC and investee affiliates including SK Nexilis, SK PIC Global, ISC, Absolics and SK REVO. The task force will develop projects, work with external experts, and set AI guidelines. SKC will also review generative AI tools and expand training.

SKT speeds up AX innovation with in-house rollout of A.Dot Biz Cowork
SK Telecom is accelerating AI transformation, or AX, by applying the beta version of its AI agent service A.Dot Biz Cowork internally, it said on May 28. The tool is designed to learn employees’ work methods and automate routines, including planning tasks, writing code and verifying results. SKT also updated its companywide AX management platform AXMS to version 1.5 and plans to make its AX Challenge hackathon a regular event.
