Samsung Securities launches first issued commercial paper, goes on sale from Sept 21
Samsung Securities will launch its first issued commercial paper product based on its own credit and begin full-scale sales from Sept. 21. The company said on Sept. 17 it will offer both promotional and standard products. Promotional offerings include 2 to 90-day notes at 5.5 percent for certain customers and 1-year notes at 4.3 percent for account holders, each with issuance caps. Standard products will continue after promotions end, with rates varying by type and term on a pre-tax basis.

iPhone 18 launch nears; will mobile carrier subscriber battle heat up
South Korea\'s mobile number-porting market, lifted by Samsung Electronics\' Galaxy Z8 series, is in focus again as Apple prepares to unveil new products. Porting rose in August from July, and the iPhone 18 launch this month could intensify competition among SK Telecom, KT and LG Uplus. The scale of porting will depend on carrier incentives and distribution promotions, while Apple’s launch timing and supply strategy could also affect demand.

15 of top 20 jobs at risk of AI automation are female-majority roles
An analysis found that occupations with more female workers may be more exposed to AI automation. Office and administrative roles were identified as a key high-risk area, with more than 70 percent of workers women, and accounting for about one-fifth of all jobs held by women in Australia. Of the 20 occupations with the highest automation exposure, 15 were female-majority roles. Researchers said AI policy needs a gender perspective.
