BNK Busan Bank launches preferential loan for daily construction workers
BNK Busan Bank has launched a preferential loan product for daily construction workers who have difficulty providing proof of income and employment. The bank said the loan offers up to 35 million won and carries an interest rate of up to about 5.5 percent a year. It will use severance fund contribution records issued by the Construction Workers Mutual Aid Association and also reflect estimated income calculated by a credit rating agency.

Kbank first-half net profit falls; SOHO loans double in a year
Kbank\'s net profit for the first half of this year fell 28.7 percent from a year earlier to 60.1 billion won. Excluding gains from loan receivables sales reflected in last year\'s results, net profit rose 77.3 percent to 33.1 billion won. Second-quarter net profit fell 60.6 percent as non-interest income declined. SOHO lending more than doubled year on year, supporting interest income and improving net interest margin.

K Bank first-half net profit 60.1 billion won, down 28.7 percent
K Bank said on Wednesday it posted net profit of 60.1 billion won in the first half of this year, down 28.7 percent from a year earlier. Second-quarter net profit fell 60.6 percent from a year earlier and 19.1 percent from the previous quarter. The decline reflected a base effect from last year’s gain on sales of loan receivables, the bank said.
