Meta raises Quest 3 and Quest 3S prices by up to $100 on memory chip shortage
Meta is raising prices for its Quest 3 and Quest 3S virtual reality headsets, citing surging memory chip costs. From April 19, it will increase Quest 3S 128GB and 256GB prices to $349.99 and $449.99, and set the Quest 3 price at $599.99. The increases are $50 for each Quest 3S model and $100 for Quest 3. The change also applies to refurbished units, while accessory prices remain unchanged.

DJI has released a teaser video for its next handheld gimbal camera, the Osmo Pocket 4, signaling an official announcement. The video highlights portability and usability under the slogan “The World In My Pocket,” without detailing specifications. The teaser suggests a single image sensor that appears taller than a 4:3 format. Leaks indicate two added physical buttons, including a dedicated zoom button and a customizable C button, plus a magnetic mount on the gimbal head.

Choi Joo-sun of Samsung SDI says 2026 must be year of rebound
Samsung SDI CEO Choi Joo-sun on Jan. 2 released a 2026 New Year message outlining a “3S” strategy of selectivity, speed and survival. He said the company must make 2026 the first year of a rebound and urged employees to move forward with no room to retreat. Choi said the answer ultimately lies in technology and called for a unified direction. He also cited “pessimistic optimism” and thanked employees for last year’s efforts.
