KT boosts World Cup fervour with Gwanghwamun cheering event to engage citizens

KT held the first Gwanghwamun cheering event for the 2026 North America World Cup with the Korea Football Association and the Red Devils, supporting South Korea’s national team. The company focused on broader public participation, including an AI-based programme using a media wall to generate messages and visual effects in real time. KT also arranged safety measures with stages, screens and more than 250 safety and medical staff.
