Trump omits bitcoin in state of the union-style speech, yet price rises

U.S. President Donald Trump did not mention cryptocurrencies or bitcoin in a nearly two-hour joint address to Congress that focused on economic achievements and trade policy, despite covering issues ranging from taxes and AI to housing, healthcare and Iran's nuclear programme. He highlighted inflation, mortgage rates and stock market records, and pledged to keep tariffs through other legal routes. Bitcoin rose 3 percent to $66,000 after the speech.
