Nintendo Switch 2 sales momentum slows amid weak game lineup controversy
Nintendo’s next-generation Switch 2 achieved record sales after launch but saw a slowdown during its first year-end season in key markets, with declines in the United States, Britain and France. Demand appeared to plateau faster than expected in Europe, while Japan was more resilient, helped by a Japan-only low-priced model and insulation from exchange-rate swings. The original Switch’s continued sales and a thinner lineup of exclusive hits also weighed on Switch 2 momentum.

LG Energy Solution posts Q4 operating loss of 122.0 billion won, down 45.9 percent on year
LG Energy Solution said on Jan. 9 it posted fourth-quarter revenue of 6.1415 trillion won and an operating loss of 122.0 billion won. Revenue rose 7.7 percent from the previous quarter, while operating profit swung to a loss. Revenue fell 4.8 percent from a year earlier and the operating loss narrowed from 225.5 billion won. Tax credits totalled 332.8 billion won, and the operating loss excluding them was 454.8 billion won.

KB Real Estate opens LH rental housing service on subscription hub
KB Kookmin Bank said on Thursday it has added rental housing categories to the LH Subscription Hub offered on its comprehensive real estate platform, KB Real Estate. The hub has provided LH for-sale housing subscription information since December 2024, based on an MOU with Korea Land and Housing Corp. The bank said users can filter by region and link to the official LH Cheongyak Plus platform to apply and check results in one stop.
