Woori Bank signs official sponsorship deal with T1

Woori Bank said on Jan. 14 it signed an official sponsorship deal with esports team T1. The bank said it has contributed to broadening the esports base through activities including a main partnership with League of Legends Champions Korea, support for the Asian Games national team, and sponsorship of VCT Pacific. T1, founded in 2012, holds a record six international League of Legends titles and won the 2025 world championship in Shanghai.

Samsung Asset Management publishes investment guidebook for brokerage ISA

Samsung Asset Management said on Jan. 14 it published “THE TAX SAVING BOOK. Kodex Brokerage ISA Investment Guidebook.” It said the guide focuses on using the brokerage ISA system effectively to set investment strategies suited to investors’ goals and establish principles that can withstand changing market conditions. The guide covers the ISA system and tax benefits, 18 ETFs and recommended portfolios by customer type, and a frequently asked questions section.

Korea Investment Securities launches campaign to promote domestic stock investing

Korea Investment Securities said it will start its “Reboot Korea 2026, Now is Korea Investment” campaign. The campaign aims to help customers more easily feel investment opportunities and participate in the market, going beyond expanding trading to broaden investment experience and provide practical long-term benefits. From this month, the firm will run events for new accounts and domestic stock transfers in, including share giveaways, 1-year fee discounts and benefits of up to 5.01 million won.
