Hana Bank to foster anchor companies in Gwangju and Honam region

Hana Bank said it signed a business agreement with Gwangju, the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund and the Korea Technology Finance Corp to support anchor-company development in the Gwangju and Honam region. The bank will contribute 4 billion won to supply 155.6 billion won in liquidity and support 0.6 percent in guarantee fees for two years. Local and guarantee institutions will also offer preferential guarantee terms and interest subsidies.

LG Uplus teams up with spatial data firm to expand next-generation bus information system

LG Uplus will work with spatial information company All4land to advance a next-generation bus information system based on high-precision positioning technology. The two companies signed an agreement on March 16 at LG Uplus headquarters in Seoul to expand BIS. They plan to upgrade and launch the AI Live Bus on a subscription basis and co-develop a low-power bus information terminal using solar power and e-paper, targeting completion in the second half of the year.

SamSamSam unveils post-payment 'New SamSamSam' letting users get tax refunds before paying fees

Jobis & Villains, which operates SamSamSam, said on March 17 it unveiled 'New SamSamSam,' a post-payment option in the tax refund process. Users complete their refund application first and pay the service fee only after confirming the refund has been deposited into their bank account. The company said it also improved the application process by consolidating personalized surveys for items needed to maximize refunds onto a single page.
