Tesla to build Terafab to make its own AI chips despite zero manufacturing experience

Tesla plans to pursue Terafab, a large chip factory project aimed at producing semiconductors needed for self-driving and AI. Elon Musk said the project would begin within 7 days and is reported to target a 2-nanometre process. Skepticism is growing because Tesla has no chip manufacturing experience, and its earlier 4680 battery plan fell far short of targets. Industry figures also warn advanced chipmaking requires extreme cleanroom standards and deep expertise.

Jensen Huang visits Samsung booth, picks HBM4 and Groq LPU supply chain

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang visited Samsung Electronics' booth at GTC 2026 in San Jose and reviewed products spanning next-generation high-bandwidth memory, server memory modules and storage, Samsung said on March 17. Huang signed Samsung's HBM4 core die wafer and a 4-nanometre wafer for Groq LPU foundry production. Samsung also unveiled HBM4E and hybrid copper bonding, while highlighting memory and storage solutions for Nvidia's Vera Rubin platform.

Dongwon F&B, Seoul National University sign MOU to promote healthy food culture

Dongwon F&B said on Monday it signed a business agreement with Seoul National University to help spread a healthy food culture and foster a balanced dietary environment. The company will receive consulting from SNU's Healthy Culture Project Group on corporate health community culture for workers. It also plans to work with SNU experts to develop and produce products that meet health food standards presented by specialists.
