KT said on Tuesday it is operating a 'Minive X Mintraon Collaboration Edition' pop-up store at KT Plaza's 'Hongdae Ad Shop Plus' through the 16th.

Minive is an official character inspired by the group IVE. Mintraon is KT's in-house character themed as a "mint-colored cat that thinks about the environment." KT and Starship Entertainment signed a memorandum of understanding in June to cooperate on a character intellectual property business and launched the Minive X Mintraon Collaboration Edition.

The pop-up store displays character figures and 3-in-1 fast charger goods. It is also selling offline for the first time a travel essential package consisting of a docking-type power bank and a fast charging adapter.

KT is also holding events for visitors. Among customers who take a commemorative photo at the collaboration photo booth and complete mobile experiences such as fancams, it will select winners by daily lottery and give out Mintraon goods and keycaps, among other items.

Hongdae Ad Shop Plus is also displaying the recently released Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8 and Flip8, allowing customers to experience the product designs and key features.

Son Jeong-yeop (손정엽), head of the Device Business Division at KT's Customer Group, said, "We hope people experience the new Galaxy Z series together with the Minive X Mintraon collaboration goods," adding, "We will continue to expand differentiated content and opportunities to experience new devices."
