Clion appoints former KT Cloud executive Kim Joo-sung as CEO to expand AI, cloud business

Clion said on Thursday it has appointed Kim Joo-sung as its new chief executive officer and president. Kim previously served as CSO of GaonI’s strategic business division and worked for about 28 years at KT and KT Cloud in roles spanning cloud planning and strategy, technology development and sales. Clion plans to make AX its core growth engine by combining cloud deployment and migration with generative AI and AI agent technology.

U.S. Republicans target South Korea's 'false information law', say it threatens free speech

Republican lawmakers on the U.S. House Judiciary Committee sent a letter to South Korea’s broadcasting and communications regulator seeking details on enforcement of amendments to the Information and Communications Network Act, often dubbed a fake news law. They said the measure could be used to target politically inconvenient views and threaten online speech. South Korea has said the amendments protect citizens from illegal, manipulated false information.

Strategy's Michael Saylor raises $15 billion with ChatGPT-designed preferred stock

Michael Saylor (마이클 세일러), chairman of Strategy, said the company raised about $15 billion over the past year using a preferred stock product designed with ChatGPT. He said Strategy had relied on convertible bonds to fund bitcoin purchases but the approach reached its limits. As bitcoin and Strategy shares fall, the company sold bitcoin to fund preferred dividends and raised additional cash through stock sales.
