Binance applies for MiCA licence in Greece
Binance has applied for its first licence in Greece in line with the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation, Cointelegraph reported on Thursday. A Binance spokesperson said the company is working with the Hellenic Capital Market Commission and said the regulation will contribute to growth in the EU digital finance ecosystem. The move follows a warning from France’s AMF on MiCA compliance among crypto firms.

Kansas proposes bill to build state-managed bitcoin, digital asset reserve
Kansas is pushing legislation to build a state-managed reserve of bitcoin and digital assets without buying them directly, Cointelegraph reported on Thursday. Senate Bill 352, introduced by state Senator Craig Bowser, would have the Kansas Treasury manage the reserve. The fund would be built from abandoned cryptocurrency and proceeds such as staking rewards, airdrops and interest. The move comes alongside other digital-asset legislation in the state.

Blockit AI calendar startup raises $5 million seed funding
AI calendar startup Blockit, founded by former Sequoia Capital partner Kais Kimji, has raised $5 million in seed funding, TechCrunch reported on Thursday. Blockit says it offers more intuitive, automated scheduling than existing calendar apps. Instead of sharing links, its AI agent learns users’ schedules and preferences to coordinate suitable times. More than 200 companies are using Blockit, it said.
