Woori FIS, an IT specialist subsidiary of Woori Financial Group, held an ethics vision declaration ceremony at a first-half management strategy meeting on Jan. 29, it said on Friday. The company said the event aimed to reset ethical management as its top value under new leadership and to strengthen employees’ ethical awareness in 2026. Executives signed a compliance pledge, and staff reaffirmed rules on fair duties, workplace respect, information protection and healthy corporate culture.

South Korea will allow the listing of single-stock ETFs based on domestic blue-chip shares, including leveraged products that track a 2x rise in Samsung Electronics. The Financial Services Commission also plans to introduce fully active ETFs that allow managers to select holdings freely, and to expand weekly options to support products such as covered-call ETFs. At the same time, it will tighten investor protection rules, including education requirements and deposits for overseas leveraged ETF investments.
