JoyCity said on Wednesday it has started official service for its online basketball game Freestyle Reboot.

Freestyle Reboot was developed using the Freestyle intellectual property. It keeps core elements of the original, including real-time 3-on-3 matches and a street basketball concept, while adopting a new engine to overhaul graphics and elements such as character movement.

It also built the system to reduce reliance on item stats and ensure users' control skills and play experience are reflected in match results.

JoyCity plans to secure operational performance through the game's domestic service and then expand service sequentially to global markets, including China.

Jeon Hyun-kyu (전현규), head of JoyCity's Freestyle business division, said, "We are officially introducing 'Freestyle Reboot'." He added, "We will develop the game through updates that provide a play environment and reflect user feedback."
