Korea Post issues commemorative stamps honouring foreigners who advanced women's medicine in Korea
Korea Post will issue 480,000 commemorative stamps in 2 designs on April 7 featuring foreigners who devoted themselves to developing women's medicine in South Korea. The stamps highlight Rosetta Sherwood Hall and Margaret Jane Edmonds. They trained female medical professionals and helped lay an educational foundation at Korea's first women's hospital, Boguyeogwan. The stamps will be available at main post offices and through the online post office.

MSIT says 2024 South Korea cloud market revenue tops 9 trillion won
South Korea's cloud market revenue in 2024 rose 25.2 percent from a year earlier to 9.26 trillion won, a survey by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency showed. IaaS, PaaS and SaaS revenue all increased by more than 20 percent, while cloud management services grew 31.4 percent. The number of cloud firms rose 13.5 percent to 2,712 and cloud workers increased 8.4 percent to 33,217.

MSIT announces new 2026 projects to tap global scholars' research capabilities
South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT on Monday announced a plan to select new projects under its 2026 programme to support research by global scholars in Korea. Research institutes will identify and recommend eligible researchers born on or before Dec. 31, 1964, who have passed or are nearing retirement. The ministry plans to support about 40 scholars over 2 years, offering annual research funding for up to 5 years with matching support from institutions.
