Hancom will accelerate AI conversion for its existing office customers while also expanding its global business based on commercialising its agentic OS.

Hancom will pursue its AI business in the second half through three pillars: AI conversion for existing customers, commercialisation of the agentic OS, and expansion in global physical AI markets.

Hancom will first seek to expand AI revenue based on its existing customers. Since the second half of last year, it has shifted its product strategy away from launching new office packages toward combining AI functions with subscription services.

According to the company, Hancom's first-half AI product revenue was 13.47 billion won, already exceeding last year’s full-year AI revenue of 8.9 billion won. The share of AI product revenue rose to 15.7 percent in the second quarter from 11.4 percent in the first quarter. Among its overall B2B customers, the share adopting the AI package increased to 6.2 percent from 4.2 percent over the same period.

Hancom is also speeding up development and commercialisation of the agentic OS. It plans to unveil a beta version of the agentic OS in the third quarter of this year. It is also preparing proof-of-concept projects for existing large public and financial clients.

Hancom plans to bring forward commercialisation of the agentic OS by using its implementation references secured by industry, including government agencies, public enterprises and large companies, and its existing base of 200,000 customers. Hancom will also expand the scope of the agentic OS into the physical AI domain. Its subsidiary Hancom LifeCare recently signed a five-year agreement with French robot company Shark Robotics for exclusive domestic sales of firefighting robots and cooperation on technology development. The contract covers a large firefighting and rescue robot, Colossus, and a fire door blocking robot, Rhino Protect. Both robots will be equipped with Hancom’s agentic OS.

Hancom and Shark Robotics plan to integrate the robots with the agentic OS by year-end. The two sides will implement functions that analyse information collected in the field in real time and deliver to command units items such as hazardous zones and entry routes.

Hancom strengthened its capacity to invest in expanding its AI business by selling a 26.08 percent stake in Hancom InSpace, or 3,094,234 shares, and securing 31.9 billion won in cash. Hancom plans to deploy the funds into development of the agentic OS, expansion of global partnerships and identifying local customers.

Hancom CEO Yeon-soo Kim (김연수) said, "We confirmed the results of the shift to an AI-centred business through record performance in the first half." He added, "We will push ahead with the AI business at speed, including expanding sales of AI package products based on the office customer base, commercialising the agentic OS and entering the global physical AI market."
