KT to pursue full-stack strategy for 'AI for All' using domestic AI technology

KT said on Saturday it will pursue a full-stack AI strategy for the government-led 'AI for All' project, spanning domestic AI chips, models and platforms, and cloud and network infrastructure. As lead company, it plans to form a consortium to connect AI infrastructure and model and platform capabilities held by domestic firms for large-scale public services. Participants include Rebellions, Rablup, VESSL AI Korea, Upstage, Motif Technologies, NC AI, Saltlux and ActionPower.

KT, Seoul city hold AI future camp at Seoul Robot AI Science Museum

KT said on Aug. 23 it held an "AI Future Camp" with the Seoul city government, the Seoul Robot AI Science Museum and the Seoul Dobong Police Station on Aug. 22 for 100 elementary school students in Dobong district. Students joined five programs in four groups, including AI experience and ethics training, block-coding lessons linked to AICE, museum exhibitions and robot-arm drawing. They also received crime-prevention education on using AI.

LG Uplus wraps up U Th AI Shorts Festival

LG Uplus said on Saturday that a total of 5,009 works were submitted to the U Th AI Shorts Festival it held with YouTube. The shorts video contest aims to discover creative talent in the AI era and spread a content creation culture using generative AI. This year’s event ran from June 8 to July 31 as part of a Ministry of Science and ICT-led nationwide AI competition. Winners will join an AI training program in the United States in September.
