Kraken Institutional partners with Bitwise for first crypto yield strategy
Kraken Institutional has partnered with Bitwise Asset Management to launch its first managed investment strategy, The Block reported on Feb. 5 local time. The Bitwise Custom Yield Strategy targets institutional investors, with Bitwise overseeing portfolio management and Kraken providing custody, execution and risk management. Kraken plans to offer multiple managed crypto strategies on a single platform. A Kraken spokesperson said the strategy generates income through Bitcoin covered call options.

Kalshi is setting up an independent advisory committee to strengthen oversight of its prediction markets ahead of the Super Bowl, Cointelegraph reported. The committee will submit quarterly reports to external legal counsel and publish investigation statistics on suspicious activity. Kalshi plans to work with Solidus Labs and the Wharton Forensic Analytics Lab to block insider trading and market manipulation. The move comes as regulators and Congress watch prediction markets.

Tether has acquired a 12 percent stake in Gold.com for $150 million to expand in the gold-backed stablecoin market, Cointelegraph reported on Thursday. Tether plans to integrate its gold-linked stablecoin XAUt into the Gold.com platform and work to allow customers to buy physical gold using USDT and its U.S.-market stablecoin USAT. Gold.com sells precious metals including gold, silver and platinum.
