Kona unveils Unity bikepacking bicycle designed for hauling gear

Mountain bike brand Kona has unveiled the Unity, a new bicycle built for bikepacking. The model combines mountain bike, gravel and long-distance loaded riding functions, and highlights load stability and expandability. Kona said it optimized the structure for stable riding while carrying gear. The bike supports large tires and mixed wheel setups, uses an integrated front cargo rack, and is compatible with widely used third-party carriers. It is priced at $2,699.

Mac OS X runs on Nintendo Wii, with mouse and keyboard support

A porting project that runs Mac OS X directly on Nintendo's Wii has been unveiled, drawing attention for executing the operating system at the hardware level rather than through emulation. Engineer Bryan Keller succeeded in booting the 2001 Mac OS X "Cheetah" on the console by analysing PowerPC compatibility, working around Wii's 88MB memory, and modifying open-source Darwin code. The work included a new bootloader, custom device drivers and video output conversion, and now supports mouse and keyboard input.

Bitmine moves to NYSE main board, expands share buyback cap to $4 billion

Bitmine Immersion Technologies moved its listing to the New York Stock Exchange main board and expanded its share buyback limit to $4 billion. Trading on NYSE began on April 9, while trading on NYSE American ended at the close on April 8. The board unanimously raised the 2025 repurchase authorization from $1 billion to $4 billion, including already executed buybacks. The company has also increased its Ethereum purchases and staking.
