AWS says AWS Transform cuts technical debt and speeds application modernisation

Amazon Web Services is using AWS Transform, an agentic AI-based migration and modernisation service, to help companies reduce technical debt and accelerate large-scale application modernisation. AWS said the service automates the end-to-end process from application analysis to code conversion, testing and deployment, drawing on about 20 years of AWS experience. It supports full-stack Windows modernisation, mainframe and VMware environments, and offers a custom option for common upgrades.

China's Ganfeng starts mass production of ultra-high-density semi-solid-state batteries

Ganfeng Lithium, the world's largest lithium metal producer, is reported to have started mass production of a semi-solid-state battery with energy density reaching 650 Wh/kg. The company supplies battery materials to automakers including Tesla, Volkswagen and Hyundai Motor. Ganfeng also unveiled anode and cathode technologies and is continuing solid-state battery development at the sample stage, as competition in China intensifies.
