Kakao Games rolls out AI training for employees to strengthen in-house AX

Kakao Games said on Tuesday it is providing employees with training on how to use artificial intelligence to strengthen its in-house AI transformation, or AX, culture. The programme is run at the organisational level to discuss how teams can apply AI in practice, with employees who understand the internal work environment taking part as instructors. The curriculum covers vibe coding, workflow automation design and custom web application building. The company also plans further AI initiatives.

Neowiz selects 5 teams in global indie contest, 'Glass House' takes top prize

Neowiz said on April 22 it has completed the awards ceremony for its global indie game development contest, Neowiz Indie Quest. The contest ran for about nine months and drew indie teams from South Korea, the United States and China. Glass House took first place, followed by Inari in second. Name of the Will, Hawthorn and Gretel & Hensel were also selected. The five teams shared 165 million won in prize money.

KOSPI breaks 6,400, sets new 52-week high again a day later

South Korea’s KOSPI broke above 6,400 on Tuesday and set a new record high again just a day after notching a 52-week high. The benchmark index ended up 29.46 points, or 0.46 percent, at 6,417.93 after opening slightly lower. Retail investors were net buyers, while foreign and institutional investors sold. The KOSDAQ also ended higher, and the won strengthened against the dollar.
