KT recreates Gwanghwamun Square in Spain to showcase Korean-style AI at MWC26

KT will recreate Gwanghwamun Square, a landmark space in South Korea, inside its exhibition hall at MWC26 in Barcelona from March 2 to 5. The booth will feature replicas including a statue of King Sejong and major Gwanghwamun sites, and will screen videos on Korea’s innovation history. KT will also present AI and security solutions, multimodal TV AI features, K-culture interactive programs and sports-themed experiences.

Anthropic's Claude jumps to No. 2 on App Store after Pentagon row

Anthropic's AI chatbot Claude has risen to second place in Apple’s App Store popularity rankings amid a dispute involving the U.S. Defense Department, TechCrunch reported. Sensor Tower data showed Claude was outside the top 100 through late January but moved into the top 20 in February and continued climbing. Anthropic sought safeguards in Pentagon talks, but President Donald Trump rejected them and ordered agencies to stop using Anthropic products.

OpenAI signs contract to provide AI to Defense Department, subject to technical safeguards

OpenAI Chief Executive Sam Altman said the company has signed a contract with the U.S. Defense Department to introduce its AI models into military networks, TechCrunch reported on Feb. 28. The deal came after President Donald Trump announced that rival Anthropic products could not be used at the department. OpenAI said the agreement bans mass surveillance and includes a principle of weapons use under human responsibility, along with technical safeguards.
