Decagon AI raises $250 million at $4.5 billion valuation
Decagon AI raised $250 million in Series D funding at a valuation of $4.5 billion, SiliconANGLE reported on Jan. 28. The round was led by Coatue Management and Index Ventures, with participation from a16z, Accel Partners and Bain Capital, among others. Founded in 2023, Decagon AI focuses on improving customer experience for businesses through an AI-based concierge platform that combines large language models and machine learning.

XRP payment volume surges 138 percent to record high
XRP’s annual payment volume hit an all-time high in 2025, according to Dune Analytics’ annual multichain report cited by The Crypto Basic. Payments totaled $617.19 billion, up 138 percent from $259.0 billion in 2024. Dune Analytics cited low transaction fees on the XRP Ledger and a fee-burning mechanism that reduces circulating supply. Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin also contributed to growth in the XRPL ecosystem.

Meta signals major AI commerce push with personalised AI shopping experience
Meta Platforms CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the company rebuilt its Meta AI programme in 2025 and plans to launch new AI models and products in the coming months, TechCrunch reported on Jan. 28. He highlighted AI-powered commerce, saying new AI shopping tools will enable personalised product recommendations. The strategy resembles AI shopping assistants pursued by Google and OpenAI, but Meta is stressing its ability to deliver a more personalised AI experience using extensive user data.
