[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] AI-based search optimisation firm Gushwork has raised $9 million in seed funding, TechCrunch reported on Feb. 26 local time.
Gushwork is an Indian startup founded in 2023. It helps companies attract customers on AI-based search platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. Founder Nairit Bhattacharya (나이리트 바타차리아) said, "At first we focused on automating enterprise workflows, but we shifted direction as customers strongly demanded AI search optimisation."
The company said the Gushwork platform uses AI agents to automatically generate search optimisation content and build backlinks through 200 to 300 partner sites. It said this helps companies gain visibility in AI search without a large marketing team. Gushwork said it has secured more than 300 clients.
Gushwork internal data show 20 percent of its clients' website traffic comes through AI search, but AI search accounts for 40 percent of leads, TechCrunch reported.
