[DigitalToday reporter Yoonseo Lee (이윤서)] XRP spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) are showing a clear uptrend in both trading volume and inflows in August.
On Aug. 25 (all times local), blockchain outlet The Crypto Basic reported that XRP spot ETFs posted $125 million in turnover on Aug. 20, the highest since trading began in November 2025. That was 42 percent higher than $87.84 million on Nov. 24, 2025.
The trading surge did not last just a day. XRP spot ETFs recorded $94.03 million on Aug. 21 and $107.92 million on Aug. 24. The Aug. 24 figure was the second-highest daily turnover on record.
By product, the Bitwise XRP spot ETF led trading. It posted $84.01 million on Aug. 20, accounting for 67 percent of the total. The Franklin Templeton XRP spot ETF followed with $23.28 million, while the Canary Capital XRP spot ETF, launched in November 2025 as the first spot XRP spot ETF and which led the market for a time, recorded $14.07 million.
The Grayscale XRP spot ETF posted about $4.68 million in turnover on Aug. 22. The 21Shares XRP spot ETF was the lowest at $604,520. That confirmed a trend of trading concentrating in the top products.
Inflows also strengthened alongside the rise in trading. On Aug. 20, when trading hit a peak, XRP spot ETFs recorded net inflows of $13.24 million. That was the largest daily inflow since June 29. On Aug. 21, turnover fell to $94.03 million, but net inflows rose to $18.38 million.
The weekly trend was also strong. XRP spot ETFs recorded net inflows of $39.78 million over a week. Another $13.82 million came in on Aug. 24, extending the inflow streak.
On a month-to-date basis, August net inflows have already reached $56.86 million. That is more than double July's $27.29 million. Turnover also swelled quickly, with August cumulative turnover at about $508 million. After XRP recently recovered the $1.40 level, related ETF trading and inflows rose together.
Attention is now focused on whether August cumulative net inflows will surpass the June record and whether the increase in trading will hold through month-end. Another point to watch is whether the concentration of funds among major products such as Bitwise, Franklin Templeton and Canary Capital will continue.
