[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] Physical AI company Carbonsix said on Monday it signed a memorandum of understanding with robot safety technology company Safetix to apply physical AI to mass production at manufacturing sites.
The collaboration focuses on building an integrated workflow that links robot task learning by AI, safety verification, regulatory 대응 and application to actual production lines in one flow by combining the two companies' technologies.
Based on this, the two companies plan to jointly create mass-production application cases for physical AI at real manufacturing sites this year.
Carbonsix is developing AI-based robot manipulation technology and a robot standard product, SigmaKit, that supports rapid learning and application of unstructured robot tasks. Safetix has technology to verify safety and respond to industrial safety standards by analysing industrial robot movements and work environments.
The two companies plan to link Carbonsix's SigmaKit with Safetix's safety verification technology to specify a safety verification system for applying AI-learned robot tasks to actual production lines.
The two companies plan to push this year to introduce physical AI mass production at real manufacturing sites, and to present a commercialisation model for manufacturing physical AI that is verified on site and actually operated, rather than merely showing the technology's potential.
