Naver said on Sunday it will newly introduce an affiliate service called Travel Connect on its creator partnership platform Brand Connect, linked to Naver Travel.
The newly launched Travel Connect is structured so that Naver Travel participates as an affiliate partner and links related products. Creators can check domestic and overseas packages and guided tour products offered by various travel agencies without separate partnership procedures with individual travel agencies.
Creators can choose products based on their content themes and user characteristics and link them to revenue generation. Travel product suppliers can also secure channels to expose their products through creators' content.
Naver unveiled Shopping Connect, linked to Naver Shopping, in March last year and after a beta operation, officially launched it in July that year.
As of August this year, the number of creators participating in Shopping Connect is more than 190,000, up 15-fold from the beta opening in April last year. The number of products offered is more than 3.4 million, up ninefold over the same period. As of July, the scale of creator rewards rose 3.5-fold from a year earlier.
Lee Su-ji (이수지), the Brand Connect leader at Naver, said, "We will refine the service so that creators and the travel ecosystem can grow by expanding affiliate targets to travel products provided by Naver Travel going forward."
