Brinqa, a security company specializing in exposure management, has acquired FlexTrack.
SiliconANGLE reported on Aug. 19 that the acquisition will allow Brinqa to cover the entire continuous threat exposure management process on its platform, from vulnerability discovery through confirmation of remediation.
Brinqa has supported companies by combining results from scanners, cloud accounts and application security tools so organisations can rank exposures that need priority attention.
Until now, a step to verify whether remediation actually worked had been missing. The FlexTrack acquisition fills that gap. FlexTrack has provided software that helps penetration testers check whether vulnerabilities can be exploited in practice and report the results.
FlexTrack products will continue to be sold as standalone offerings after the acquisition.
