Document AI specialist Romin said on Wednesday it signed a partnership agreement with Naver Cloud to cooperate on a solutions business.
The partnership focuses on expanding supplies of document automation solutions across industries including the public sector, finance and general companies by combining Romin’s document AI technology with Naver Cloud’s network and marketplace.
Under the agreement, Romin will supply Textscope Reader, an AI optical character recognition (OCR) solution that recognises printed and handwritten text with high precision. It will also supply Textscope Doc Parser, which interprets complex document structures and refines and structures key information such as text, tables and figures. Romin will also provide a document AI platform that combines visual information recognition with active learning technology.
Textscope Doc Parser was recently applied to a preprocessing area of the "Pan-government ultra-large AI common foundation implementation project" to structure and refine public administrative documents into a form suitable for use with large language models (LLMs). The solution is also listed on the Naver Cloud Platform marketplace and is provided in versions for public institutions, financial institutions and general companies.
Romin CEO Ji-hong Kang (강지홍) said, "This agreement will serve as a foundation for more companies and institutions to easily adopt Romin’s document AI capabilities." He said, "We will contribute to automating document work, reducing costs and securing efficiency in the use of information."
