Cloud Networks said on Aug. 18 it has partnered with global API and AI connectivity company Kong to supply Kong AI Gateway in South Korea.
The company said Kong AI Gateway centrally manages enterprise AI traffic through a single gateway.
The two companies said they decided to cooperate to support South Korean companies in building AI operating systems as demand grows for control and governance over AI calls, with the use of generative AI and large language models spreading into actual work.
Kong is a global company that develops API and AI connectivity technology. It has provided an API management platform based on Kong Gateway, which is used as open source. More recently, it has expanded the scope of management in the API management area to include LLM, MCP and agent-to-agent traffic, and Kong AI Gateway is responsible for AI traffic management.
Cloud Networks CEO Heung-kyun Jung (정흥균) said, "As generative AI is applied to actual work, companies are in a situation where they must consider not only model performance but also how to control and observe AI calls." He said, "Cloud Networks will supply Kong AI Gateway based on its experience building AI operating environments and support AI governance systems for South Korean companies."
